The Big Apple

I am heading to NYC for the gift show in a couple of weeks. I am so excited and can't wait. I am going with two girlfriends of mine and we are going to shop and enjoy some yummy food and wine. Even though I have been to NYC many times, I have no idea where we are going to eat dinner each night. I would love suggestions from any of you that have favorite restaurants that you would like to recommend. I would like to make reservations, to ensure we have great places to go. One of my favorite things to do is eat out. So, not having children with me will be such a treat and I want to make them good choices. Thanks for your help!

Have a great trip! I would definitly recommend Balthazar in soho. It's a really charm French bistro. I believe you need reservations (unless you are willing to eat dinner really early or very late).

Thanks for the recommendation cndpreppy. I have been there for lunch and it was great. Happy Housewife and I went two years ago after shopping in SoHo!

I just love NYC (who doesn't?).
My favorite thing to do is just walk all day. Eating pastrami on rye from the delis, and drink double espressos in Little Italy. Check out Super Delish's recommendations...http://superdelishblog.blogspot.com/2007/12/consider-yourself-new-yorker.html
Have a great time!

I have read your blog for a while and never commented. I live right outside the city and go in frequently for dinner. Some of my favorites...
Otto Enoteca - It is Mario Batali's pizza place.
Pastis - french bistro
La Bottega - rustic italian

All are fun, not too trendy and so yummy!

Have a great trip!

Have fun!

I am 45 min away from NYC by train, and I almost never go.

I heard Gallaghers is awesome for steak! I'll be going there sometime in the next few weeks hopefully!

The Cafeteria, Hip yummy place for lunch. I know it is very close to a great Pottery Barn Bed and Bath store. I LOVE NY!
