Got a Job??

I am ready to go back to work. I have been at home for 3.5 years now and I think it is time. I have been contemplating this for about 6 months now and I can say I am ready. I have really enjoyed being at home and was glad to be able to, but I always knew I would eventually go back to work. I stopped working when we moved to where we live now 3.5 years ago. Mr. 5 was 2 at the time and I really wanted to spend time with him, meet new people and get us established in the community. I have always been at home with Miss Priss and she may have another thing to say about me going back to work. The only thing I have to do now is find a JOB! My resume is ready to go and I need to work on my interviewing skills. Wow-I really feel like I have been out of the working world for a long time now. I want to find a sales job. I can't imagine being behind a desk and I love getting out in front of people. I love going to a different place every day and meeting new people. I will still have my website-so customers-don't go anywhere. You are my sanity! If I had to pick my ideal job-it would be a gift sales rep. I love picking out and buying gifts for my website, so why not help other gift stores do the same. Does anyone have any ideas or know if any companies are hiring in Virginia? I appreciate your help. I will keep you posted!

I would start with actual companies and see about territory jobs. After being off and on in the Americas Mart here in Atlanta, my understanding is that they are based in a showroom and then travel. That is just my experience and I am sure it varies from company to company.

Good luck!

I wish I felt ready to go back to working, but I'm still having panic attacks, and I'm afraid I'll quit too soon... I need to gain more confidence before find a new job.

I was on Vera Bradley's web site today and popped on the career tab and thought of you! VB seems like a wonderful company to work for. Very family and of course women friendly. I just read their new magazine which is featured on their web site. There was an article about an employee who was diagnosed with breast cancer and her experience. Very telling about what kind of company VB must be according to the article. Anyway check it out they do have sales reps that call on retailers.

GOOD LUCK!

I'd like to work too, maybe something not too intense, but part time. Have no idea where to look. I need more adult stimulation!
