Fabric Hunt

We had a great time at the beach. We went to Ocean Isle in North Carolina. I had never been there and I really liked it. There is not much to do, but definitely a relaxing place and a great wide beach. We got to visit with some of my Mother's relatives from New York. I had not seen them in years and it was great to catch up.

On my way home I stopped by Printer's Alley, which was such a nice way to break the 6 hour drive up. My children were absolutely wild and I will definitely have to buy something from the poor girl that had to deal with me and my out of control children.

I found a couple of swatches and I think I am leaning toward these two. The stripe to recover my chair and the paisley for pillows and maybe a window treatment. I am not sure of the wall color yet-I am leaning toward a light blue. I am off to paint shop tomorrow.

Love them! I must have special fabric powers... remember how I told you it was a shame you had already used a version of that for your DR???? Hee Hee!!

Did you see the large window treatment of the paisley fabric hanging at Printers Alley? It definitely has lots of colors to work with.

Love these swatches. I think you should do the chairs in the paisley and the pillows in the stripes. You could do lots of different trims to coordinate. 2

love the paisley! kids and fabric stores just don't mix...mine do the same thing... think we should act like they do when we take them to the toy store!

Those are great swatches! a nice light blue (sort of a little lighter than the light blue of the paisley) would be a great wall color. I agree that the chair would look nice in the paisley, with pillows in stripes.
Glad you had a fun trip.

I love all of your comments and ideas. I think I have changed my mind about these fabrics. I don't like the idea of a blue wall. So, I will keep you posted on changes.
