China Pattern

Happy Housewife did a post not to long ago on her wedding china and I thought I would share mine. Here is my china pattern-Platinum Edge by Herend.
I picked this out over eight years ago and I do still love it. What I would like to find is a decorative salad plate to liven it up some. Does anyone have any ideas??
Also, with Christmas around the corner I am going to add some pieces of my pattern to my wish list. You can never have too much of your china!
I would like a new everyday pattern, but I figure I will wait until we update our kitchen and pick a pattern to coordinate with that!

Very nice! How about adding a color? Cobalt blue? Either that or a floral or dot? They have such modern china now it would be fun!

Beautiful! I love white and platinum...so classic. Perhaps a silver charger? Maybe red ones for the holidays with silver napkin rings? I think Crate and Barrel has some deep purple chargers that go really well with platinum. Or like "the mrs" said- something whimsical like a floral outline or bright dot could be really cool.

I love your serving pieces. My china is similar. I'm also looking for something to liven it up. Our Holiday House tour is coming up and I want something special. Post pictures if you find something. I'd love to see your ideas!

I love china as well... When I chose my china I decided to mix and match my collection to make it lively. My dinner plate is Anna Weatherly's "Simply Anna". A very simple white porcelain plate with a gold etched rim. For my salad plate I went with Bernardaud's "Constace" which I love! It really adds life to my china. For the holidays I also regisitered for Bernardaud's "Greuadiers" which is very fun for Christmas. My serving pieces are actually your pattern of Herend but with the gold trim. I am sure it sounds crazy but when it on the table it is breath taking. Google my patterns and I am sure they would work for your china as well!

I agree regarding the chargers. Pottery barn and C & B always have great patterns. I have a bunch of plates I bought when I worked for a catalog company that sold household and dining goods. trust me after being there for 15 years I had enough stuff for all diffrent holidays. the problem now is the fact that I have to store some of it at my MIL house because the condo I live in doesn't have much storage.

I have the same pattern too! What I love about the pattern is that it is different and classic at the same time.
