I need all of my reader's help. Hubby has a business meeting this fall in Long Beach, California. I am hoping to go with him. We have never been there. The only two places that I have been in California are San Francisco and Marina Del Ray. We will be there a couple of days. He will be in meetings some, but we will have some free time. I of course, will have nothing but free time. I can't even imagine sleeping in, reading books, exercising all when I want to. Can you suggest hotels, restaurants, shopping etc. Thanks for all of the suggestions.

This is so funny. I am over on my blog working on my one year anniversary post and mentioning you! I have to leave a comment since you are coming my way! There are some GREAT restaurants in Long Beach. L'opera, the Madison. May I suggest you use opentable.com? Make your reservations...it's so easy!!! One thing that is really fun to do is go to the Sky Room for dinner and dancing. I like the big band nights and the view is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sorry, i am not much help! but if you make it south be sure and check out dana point, just north of san clemente - great area! we stayed at an amazing bed & breakfast that amazing views located on a bluff above the dana point yacht harbor. what a great part of the county!
also, be sure and visit venice - that's an experience in it's self! ha! ha! i know others will get you the info you need!

If you have extra time, Laguna Beach is about 30-45 mins away and has a great shopping! South Coast Plaza is about 20 mins away-great shopping!
